Timor Primary School

Timor Primary School was established during the Gold Rush period of 1873. The main school building has significant historical importance to the local community and continues to be used effectively as classrooms and learning space today.

The school is one of 20 schools in the Goldfields Network in the North-Western Region. There are two multi-age classrooms consisting of a Junior class (P/1/2) and Senior class (3/4/5/6). At census there were 37 students enrolled at Timor PS which has a low socio-economic profile. The school is proud of the diversity of its curriculum including the specialist areas of French, Music, Art, Science and Physical Education. The school has 7.14 equivalent full time staff: 1 Principal class, 4.0 teacher class and 2.14 Education Support staff.
