You may have heard it takes a village to raise a child.

You can build your village by connecting with your local community. Being active in your community is good for you and your child’s wellbeing. Making friends as an adult can be hard but meeting people through your children’s activities makes it easier. On this website you will find the amazing variety of activities and opportunities our community has to offer.

Our children deserve a safe, healthy and happy childhood. The Child Aware Local Initiative aims to support communities to foster nurturing environments for children and to keep children safe and well at a community-led, grassroots level. Central Goldfields is one of seven sites across Australia who participated in this community capacity-building initiative. Central Goldfields Child Aware Local Initiative is made up of a group of local parents who meet regularly to work on ways to encourage families to Build Your Village Here and make the most of local opportunities for you and your children.
